I was just e-mailed this clip of the Glenn Beck show. I have to admit, I have no idea who Glenn Beck is or what he usually talks about on his show. So, that being said, I may not agree with much or I might agree with everything on his show…who knows. One thing I do know is that I like what he says in this clip and I agree with everything he says in it. He is talking about his personal feelings about President Hinkley and how he helped him become a better person. I feel the same way. Often when I’m trying to decide how I should act or handle a situation I think about Pres. Hinkley and his counsel. Isn’t it wonderful and amazing to realize how much one good man can accomplish and how many lives he can touch?

Right now I’m hiding in the parents lounge at Going Bonkers and LOVING IT! Oh oh…Chris just saw me. What was this place thinking making the walls with glass! He looks a little irritated that I’m in the quiet, adult room with computer access and he is out there following Emma around. How selfish of him!
I now have proof that I am a WONDERFUL parent! Report cards have come in and Connor and Gracie did GREAT! Connor got A/B honor roll (his reading grade slipped to an 85) and Gracie got A honor roll! Chris and I are really proud of them and they are proud of themselves. Whoever said that it’s not good to live through your kids obviously did not have honor roll kids! WooHoo!
President Gordon B. Hinckley has died. He was the president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I will truly miss him. Hearing him speak was one of the main reasons I joined the church and you could just hear the spirit in his voice. President Hinckley was 97 and deserved to rest and see his wife again, but I will miss hearing him give talks and the wisdom he shared with us all. Here is a great article on him: http://www.sltrib.com/ci_8095453. He was and is a great man. I have a feeling that I will hear him speak again.
I just got back from California and attending my Auntie Phil’s memorial service. It really was wonderful. So many of her friends came and spoke. I read some scripture and the chapel was very pretty. While I was there my Mom took me to Auntie’s house and I was encouraged to pick somethings out. I picked out this necklace for Gracie. She LOVES it. She wants to wear it only to church and for special occasions so that it doesn’t get “messy up or dirty.” Even at six girls like sparkly things….:)
